The Giants had a dominant victory over the Niles North Vikings for their Homecoming football game.
Plenty of touchdowns were scored, with Lucas Gordon having another receiving touchdown. Throughout the game, Junior quarterback Gustav Crane and wide receiver Max Stevens had a great connection, throwing and catching, with Stevens having 60+ receiving yards and 3 TDs, including a pick-six!
In the fourth quarter, Zion Wood had an 87-yard kickoff return touchdown! The way he weaved through the opponent’s team was masterful, and most of the return was on Niles North’s sideline.
Eventually, the Vikings had scored a touchdown, their first points of the game. On the extra point, though, Benny Marcus came diving from the right end of the line and blocked the kick! An incredible play by the athletic long snapper and cornerback. The team and fans cheered as they won yet another home game.
